Aloha!
Hope you have all had an amazing week! Can you believe it is
December?! I am definitely missing the snow more than I thought I would,
but am loving all of the Christmas lights and decorations that make it feel
more like the holidays- I love this time of year SO much!!
This week was BUSY- which is a blessing. We just had transfers and so our zone got a little mixed up. We lost some real great ones, but gained some awesome missionaries that I'm excited to get to know better & all 8 of us sisters stayed in Kaneohe, yayy! The ward members in our area are absolutely amazing and take such good care of us.
There is a cute haole auntie who has lived in Hawaii pretty much her whole life- she goes ALL OUT with her holiday decorations. She invited us over to decorate what she calls her "sister missionary tree"- I'm not sure how long she has had it but it was falling apart haha. We got innovative w zip ties to hold it together and decorated it with her. She is just the cutest, it made her so happy & we loved spending the time w her. We also love going to visit because morning, noon, or night, Auntie Kathy serves us brownies and ice cream haha.
The work is going so well- we are teaching some people right now that are SUPER close to getting baptized and we couldn't be happier for them. It is the coolest thing to see someone you love take that step to come closer to their Heavenly Father... missionary work is awesome. Thank you for your prayers for the missionaries, I know that they are heard and answered ♡
The Keolu ward put on a live drive-through nativity & it was so good! A good reminder of the REASON for the season. I hope we can all remember Jesus Christ this month, but every month.
No news on Italy yet, but I'm still doing my language study & the Italian is coming slowly but surely :).
It still doesn't feel real that I'm living in Hawaii and that I am on a mission!! I love this work, I love the missionaries that I get to meet and serve beside, and most importantly, I love my Savior. I know that through Him and His infinite atonement, we can do all things.
