Setting apart

I love that phrase "setting apart"- sometimes, I think what that really means, is lost in our LDS lingo because it becomes so familiar. But tonight, as a new Stake President to us, President Erhart, Roarke and Grandpa Miller placed their hands on Emma's head, I felt through the spirit that truly, she was being, set apart, consecrated to represent the Savior.  It was beautiful.

After the blessing, I tried to jot down a few things that stood to me from her blessing:

Sister of Faith

Sister of Prayer

Sister of Power

Blessed with many opportunities to lead and be a leader in her mission

Called to a spiritual land

Her gift of Empathy will be effective helping her share message

Angels to minister and watch over her

Find the one

Even though her missionary tags haven't arrived yet, (which was a bummer because I know she wanted to put them on...I could see a light in her countenance and as we drove back to McCall from our stake center in Weiser, besides the usual sweetness in her voice, I sensed an added confidence- readiness.

I feel so blessed to have her ready and worthy to take this on.  We talked about the mantle you feel in a new call and how sometimes you feel it right away and sometimes you let it sit with you and when you face first obstacles or challenges, you feel it in added capability and added strength.

Bring on the blessings.  The Miller Family has two missionaries in the field.  That sacrifice is big for a mama heart, but it is such an incredible privilege.  I feel like I'm giving Heavenly Father back two daughters that he's given me.  I trust Him.
