Aloha!
I have discovered my least favorite insect-
CENTIPEDES! I had gotten home from our church meetings and had made a nice
salad, I reached on the silverware drawer and felt something crawl over my
fingers- I flipped out and ran to my companion. Crawling around in our drawer
was a massive centipede (like 7 inches long) Thank goodness one of the sisters
I live with is brave enough to deal with it because I wasn't getting off the
counter until that thing was good & gone. With the help of our land lady (I
have never been so grateful for her) we killed it (at least I think it was the
only one- it had better be the only one). She hammered both ends with a mallet
and then cut it in half before throwing it away (I guess if you don't kill it
right, it sends off signals to other centipedes?? Ewww!) We had a dinner
appointment later that night and came home, 5 minutes later one of the sisters
comes out of the room screaming. I was so ticked, WHAT NOW?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME
?? right above her bed was a giant cane spider bigger than my hand- thank
goodness for the Elders that came to kill it - It was the most eventful day in
the worst way. But hey, it made me grateful for Idaho and tiny bugs haha. Don’t
worry, an exterminator has been called!
We had a super productive week with lots of
spiritual highs! We had a lesson with an investigator and I can't remember the
last time I felt the spirit that strongly. It was amazing! We met some new
friends & the work is booming!
Thought of the day:
Jesus Christ came to earth as a baby born in
the most humble of circumstances. He was born below all of it just as he
underwent everything any of us will ever go through. I challenge you to read
the nativity story found in Luke 2, let's celebrate the REASON for
CHRISTmas...
Have a great week, stay safe, and live in the
NOW!! I love you
Amore,
Sorella Miller
