I hope Christmas was a blast! And I hope you are all getting ready to ring in the new year! 2020 was quite the year, I don't think I have ever been so ready to start fresh, praying that this year is filled with health and healing. On the other hand, though, as I have taken some time to reflect on 2020 and the ways I have grown and the things I have learned there is a lot to be grateful for. What blessings have you seen in 2020? Yes, there was a lot to be negative about, but how much better off would we be if we looked for the positive? I challenge you to reflect and maybe right down the tender mercies, miracles, and growth that happened. 2021 is going to be a good one!!
We got to have mission conference IN PERSON! that is huge for the mission- they hadn't been able to gather as a mission way before I got here. All the missionaries on Oahu were able to gather and have a devotional and activity. I was SO happy to see so many friends from quarantine and Kaneohe!
Christmas as a missionary was different but it was so good! We started off the morning with a hike and got to see whales!! I spent the rest of the day talking to family, which is exactly the way I wanted to spend it! I LOVE my family ♡♡
The work is moving slowly but surely- hopefully with the holidays wrapping up we will go back to being super busy :) We met a man this week named Arthur- he had met with missionaries before COVID-19 and then kind of fell under the radar, but when we showed up at his door, he was totally down to meet with us. We gave him the zoom link for church, and he joined with us! We were so excited for him!
Yesterday I got to see my cousins who are visiting Hawaii and that was such a blessing! A little piece of home ♡
I am really excited to see what 2021 has in store! I'm making quite a few new year resolutions, some of which have to do with Italian in hopes of getting there sometime within the year!! But Hawaii will always have a piece of my heart, I am convinced I am serving in the very best mission (and I'm not biased ;) for now.
