Happy (late) Valentine's day! I love holidays as a missionary- we make so many fun memories and they are good mile-markers and days to work towards. St. Patrick's day is up next 🍀
GUYS! GUESS WHAT ??! Steve said YES to getting baptized! We don't have a "date" quite yet but he is headed in the right direction! That has been a tricky part of serving in Hawaii ( esp during covid), everyone wants their family to come be a part of their baptism, but distance adds another hurdle. A good problem to have though!
Anna, Melisa, Terry, and Charria are all progressing in their own ways and it is a blessing to be a part of. One thing I love about the gospel is that different parts resonate more with different people. Anna loves the Plan of Salvation and how God is a God of 2nd and 3rd and 4th chances! Where Steve clicked more with the temple and being able to be sealed to his wife and kids forever! The Gospel of Jesus Christ has something for everyone! ( the Gospel of Jesus Christ is for everyone!!)
One of my new favorite scriptures ( that happens to be fitting for V-day) is: 1 John 4:19: We love him [Jesus Christ], because he first loved us. SO GOOD & SO TRUE ♡♡♡
For p-day we checked out this cool cemetery called 'the valley of the temples'. It was so beautiful! We were driving around and at the very back there is this replica of a Japanese Buddhist temple! It was crazy cool! That is one of my favorite things about Hawaii: all of the different cultures!
