Weekly Updates
New and Current Investigators (status, lessons taught, needs, member help)
Hina - Hina was referred to us through a member not in our ward. She works with Bro. Manoa and he talked to her about the church a lot and she is interested in learning more. Very open.
First lesson: got to know her and then shared a message about how God loves us and the gospel blessed our life and families. Introduced her to the BOM and invited her to pray and read.
Member involvement: she knows bro. Manoa who isn't in our ward and his wife. We hope to invite someone to a zoom lesson from our ward and find a fellowshipper
Next lesson: restoration… soft baptismal commitment?
Sacrament attendance:
Needs - to teach her more and get her involved with the ward. Find some fellowshippers.
Rafael - He has previously been taught a little bit by missionaries. He just moved out of our ward to hickam base. Baptism date for January 16th. His fiance just passed away from cancer.
We taught him the plan of salvation, restoration, and gospel of Jesus Christ, and half of the commandments. He has so much faith and is super prepared!
Next lesson: 10 commandments, law of chastity, follow prophets… involve other missionaries from his new wi
Member involvement: Brother Hansen knows him a little from school and Brother Wong came to a lesson. We have invited Brother Merc to join a lesson when he is in town and hopefully become a fellowshipper
Sacrament: Dec. 6, Dec. 13
needs - nothing from the ward… we will be introducing him to his new ward once he is in town.
Blayne Yap - Referral. Went to church when he was younger and wants to come back asap. We have met with him two times. He was out of town on vacation and we lost contact for a while, but we talked to him and he wants to meet with us after the new year.
First lesson we discussed how God loves us.
Second lesson lesson we covered the restoration. He had read and studied the pamphlet beforehand and wants to pray about it.
Member involvement: we contacted David Akeo to help fellowship and come to lessons. We would love it if someone could sit with him when he comes to church, probably Brother Akeo if possible.
Next lesson: Plan of Salvation.
Sacrament attendance: Hopefully he will come soon…
Needs - we need to figure out if he's been baptized. meet with him again with fellow shippers.
Bernadette - Jardine's landlord. She has come to church in the past but stopped recently. Seems to feel peace there.
We have had one less with her, the restoration. We shared Mosiah 24:14 from the Book of Mormon which led to a discussion of where the Book of Mormon came from. We gave her a book of mormon to read and pray about.
Member involvement: the Jardine's are sooo great with Bernadette and her daughter. The Yamamoto's know them as well. We would love to get the Young Women involved with Julianna.
Sacrament attendance: Sep. 13, 20, 27, Oct 18
Needs - to get her to come to church again. continue fellowshipping. We want her to understand how the gospel can help her NOW and not just after we die. We are also going to start to work with Julianna more. We need help from the YW!
Gaylyn - Brother Todd Faufata's girlfriend. Was once on date for baptism but because of life and Corona, it never happened. She tells us she would like to be baptized.
Has been taught the restoration.
Next lesson: we are going to try to re-invite her to be baptized and try to teach the lessons very simply on friday nights when we talk to her.
Member involvement: Claire Dodson has been to one lesson. We need help with her family situation.
Sacrament attendance: Oct. 11, Nov. 29
Needs - Gaylyn wants to be baptized but has a very complicated life. She works early in the morning until late at night everyday except Friday evenings. That is the only time we can meet with her but it often doesn't work out because of her home life.
Zach Chincio - we met Zach on Date Street. We have met with him multiple times and we share gospel principles or a scripture each time we meet.
Has been taught part of the plan of salvation and part of the restoration.
Next lesson: restoration
Member involvement: we are not sure how interested he is so we haven't done this yet
Sacrament: November 22
Needs - Figure out if he is really interested in our church. We are waiting for him to contact us. We will probably drop him because he isn't progressing at all and doesn't seem interested
Michael- We met him while street contacting. He's had major life events that have led him to believe that God has a plan for him.
We taught him the restoration with Brother Hansen. It went great! Michael said that it made sense.
Next lesson: Plan of Salvation
Member involvement: Brother Quinn Cikaitoga has come with us twice to meet with him. Brother Hansen came once.
Sacrament attendance: November 22, November 29, and December 6
Phillis- Self-referral. She knows quite a bit about our church. She had missionaries teach her years ago.
We taught her the Restoration and it went well. She seemed to enjoy it and understand it pretty well.

Member involvement: We would love for someone to join in on our next lesson. We are thinking of having Sister Keres or Sister Dodson join.

Anna Praywell: Lessons retaught: restoration, plan of salvation, gospel of Jesus christ, commandments, and laws and ordinances. We are now doing come follow me with her every week.

needs - get a calling, get a ministering assignment, find out who her ministers are and have them visit with her, get her a temple recommend.
Last contact: We did Come Follow me with her this week.
Plan: Meet with her weekly to do come follow me, read a conference talk, or something else like that.
Aiden Creekmur - member for 10 months
Lessons retaught: we are not sure.. not in area book. Restoration for sure.

Needs - love and friendship! Have primary leaders reach out to him if they haven't already.

Sequoyah Holbrook - member for 10 months

Kunane - A member called and told us we should visit Kunane, who recently lost his brother.
Last contact: We stopped by but he wasn't home. His wife was and she told us that Kunane isn't interested in coming back to church and that we should spend our time elsewhere.

Message/Challenge from the Sisters (ideas you may have, events, challenges, or any other needs or help that you need)
We have a mission goal to meet with every member once a month and have at least 2 member lessons a day. We need help getting appointments set. So far we have been calling the ward list, which has taken quite a while so we'd appreciate any help.
We have a mission goal of having 400 nonmembers attend or watch sacrament meeting on December 20th. We need member's help to do this! Please invite all of your friends and family to watch or attend sacrament meeting on that day!
