Aloha
First week in Honolulu was a success ! It is so different from kaneohe, its own kind of beautiful for sure. It doesn't feel as much like hawaii as my little corner of heaven in waimanalo, but I'm determined to love it! My companion's name is Sister Lamprey and I LOVE her so much! We are both feeling super motivated to get to work on this area and to see miracles in the Manoa ward!
I have already fallen in love with the ward after a single week! They are SO missionary minded and really welcoming! We have had a couple of lessons and got to meet a ton of people on Sunday which was fun! We have church at the Honolulu Tabernacle and it is by far the prettiest place I have ever gone to church !!
We saw so many tender mercies this week from generous members to contacting random houses and people being interested! Even today, p-day, we went shopping and I was talking to the cashier about her cute nails, she saw my tag and asked if we would leave the information for the church building !! I have the strongest testimony that this is God's work and that He is in the details of all of it ! I am so grateful for the gospel because it helps me try to live as Jesus Christ would, to act as if He was standing next to me, and to love people the way He would if He were here.
My invitation for you this week is to be a little kinder to the people around you; compliment them on their "cute nails" or something you love about them. You never know who you will be impacting when you are simply KIND!! ♡♡
