Aloha 🐓
Highlight of my week was definitely the mission tour, which is a day of training for us missionaries. Elder Pearson came and it was so good! I could go on and on about everything that I learned and all of the areas I want to work on but I will spare you the list ;) and leave you with two things I LOVED:
(1) Whether you think you can, or think you can't, you're right!
(2) our own personal conversion has little (if anything) to do with the choices of others- believers will ALWAYS be surrounded by unbelievers- choose to double down and become the person Heavenly Father intended you to be ♡
Anyways, lots to think on there. Other than that, this week has been good, still trying to learn my way around and put names with faces but the people here are amazing, I love them already!
Fun fact: a guy in our ward is a professional break-dancer and was an extra in the cafeteria scenes of High School Musical 1&2 :) that is kinda cool, I am definitely watching it when I go home to find him haha
We met a couple who just moved here from Mexico City and just started learning English so we tried to communicate between her broken English and my VERY broken Spanish ( what I could remember from hs). I'm pretty sure I mixed the few words I remember with Italian but we were able to schedule a time to come back and visit with the Spanish elders from Lahaina so hopefully that works out! I wish Sadie was with me to translate! It is one of the few times I wish I was learning Spanish instead of Italian, it would be so cool and useful ! But I trust that there is a purpose behind my call to Italy and this beautiful language, so I will keep practicing :).
All in a week. Hope you all are doing well! I miss you so much, thank you for your prayers and support! I love you.
