Aloha 🌿
First off, happy father's day! I am so
grateful for all the father figures in my life from my coaches to my teachers,
and uncles, grandpas- but specifically for my dad! He is everything a girl
could ask for and more!
This week was VERY unexpected!
I got an email Tuesday afternoon w/ my flight
itinerary to Salt Lake city to appear at the consulate!! I can't even put in to
words how excited I was/still am! Like couldn't sit still, I had to burn off
some of my energy before our dinner appointment an hour later so I put on my
tennis shoes and ran laps around the property haha! Wilson got hyped w me and it
was so fun! GUYS it is actually happening! They said 6-8 weeks after the
consulate you get set flight plans for Italy! August in Italy?? ❤❤
I had two days notice to get ready for quite
the adventure- 5 flights in 48 hours-by the end i was SOOO done haha. I flew
into Honolulu on Thursday morning and got to spend the day in my last area,
Manoa, for the day- which meant I got to spend all day with Sister Lamprey and
the Honolulu missionaries! It was SO much fun! & I got to see Gaylyn, how I
love that sweet auntie 💓
The way my flights lined up, I took a redeye
to SLC and then had an awkward 5 hours before my consulate appointment, so I
got to meet my companion, sister Wilson's, family! Her mom picked me up from
the airport and we went back to her house and I met the Wilson gang! I LOVE
them! And honestly was excited to talk to them again on p-day! It was a huge
tender mercy that it worked out and that they would serve me in that way to just
smooth the way for me to navigate SLC quickly and easily- I am an
overthinker/over-worrier and was SO stressed about getting where I needed to so
it was a definite blessing ♡♡♡ couldn't be happier to be back home in Maui!!
So many prayers wrapped up in one little
email! & as exciting as it is, it also makes leaving Hawaii a reality.
Nothing will prepare me for that one, I have met so many amazing people and
friends and am in love with these islands.
I was talking to my mom about it and she
said something that I loved: " Em, try to think of Hawaii as a bonus that
you were blessed w/ instead of something that is being taken away" that
couldn't be more true, Hawaii wasn't part of my plan but it was a BIG part of
His ♡ Perspective is a kind
of a crazy concept to me, that the way we choose to think about things really makes
a difference! So that is my invite to y'all: take something you are feeling
negative about and work it to be more of a positive, or at least something you
can see some growth from!
You already know I'm loving every second I get
here, even more so now w/ a countdown. Wilson & I are ready to put our
heads down and get to work this week, I'm excited to see what the Lord has
planned.
Thank you for all of your prayers &
support!
Amore, Sorella Miller
