Hope Christmas was amazing! Mine was fantastic, we went over to a member's home for dinner and I got to talk with my family, which makes any day the best day!
We taught the Restoration to Francesco and he received it so well! I'm so excited to keep watching him progress! One of my favorite parts of being a missionary is watching people come closer to Jesus Christ. The change is evident in their countenance, Jesus makes everyone better!
Last p-day was quite the adventure! I am getting the hang of the public transportation here, between 4 trains and 3 busses we made it to Sirmione! It was beautiful! It is a little peninsula off the south shore of Lake Garda, stunning! It was a cloudy day in December and still beautiful, I can't imagine what this place would look like in the spring! God was feeling extra creative when He made Italy!
Fun fact: I found the cutest pair of red heels a while ago and decided Christmas was a good excuse to get them. They seemed like the perfect "Emma Italian souvenir" :) I walked around our apartment in them for a little while, so fun! Definitely not sister missionary shoes, but they’ll be fun later!
I read a quote in my personal study this week from elder Uchtdorf said, " the paradox of man is that compared to God we are nothing; yet to God we are everything" I don't know who needs to hear it but GOD LOVES YOU! It applies to each of us individually, He had always been about the one, and that is YOU! you are His everything, don't forget that!
I hope you all have a fantastic end to 2021! I have had a lot reflecting to do, this year was so special to me, 365 days as the Savior's representative, can't wait to finish out the rest! God is good!
