Anna was special to Emma in Hawaii and they had several lessons together. The weekend Emma returned from her mission, she got a text from Anna saying that she was ready to be baptized and asking if Emma would speak via zoom at her baptism. Emma was overjoyed. Here is the talk
Anna Urash’s Baptism March 12th, 2022
ANNA! I am so happy for you. From day 1 at Kailua beach park you just had a light about you. I am so proud of the decision you are making to follow the Savior! I got emotional when I got your news and feel really blessed to be able to share a few thoughts I’ve had on the Holy Ghost.
Today is the very first covenant that you made with your Heavenly Father, through being baptized you made promises with him to bear one another’s burdens and take Christ’s name upon you, but to every covenant, we promise somethings and God promises us things in return. God’s promise and gift back to us in return for our commitment at baptism is the gift of the Holy Ghost, second to only the gift of His son.
Anna, I know you’ve felt the Holy Ghost several times before now. In Galatians 5:22 it says, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, & temperance” I remember the Sunday you got up to bear your testimony, you brought the spirit so strong bearing witness of the truthfulness of the gospel. The difference now, is that that Spirit is promised to be your constant companion. As long as you are living worthy, it is yours to count on.
The Holy Ghost serves many roles, to be there to comfort you, to warn you and help you choose the right decisions. You will have many experiences where you will begin to recognize the way that the Spirit speaks to you. Anna, rely on this gift-it will guide and bless you in all of your endeavors to become the best version of yourself. Heavenly Father knows you and knows your amazing potential. Oh the things you will do! & now you have the spirit as your constant.
I can’t really even comprehend how proud Heavenly Father is of you- i’m fighting back the tears. You are amazing and I can’t wait to see where you go in this new partnership with the Lord. Congratulations!
In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen
